Tomos Watkins marked Swansea City’s success launching Premier Ale on draft. Managing director Phil Parry said the brand was so popular they decided to expand into bottling. Tomos Watkins  shifted 2,000 cases of bottled Premier Ale within 24 hours and sold 300 cases through its own on-site shop. It has also hired eight new staff to cope with demand. Mr Parry said: “If we don’t export this I will eat my hat.” Tomos Watkin will be at the Conwy Feast 2011

Tomos Watkin has created its own Premier Ale to mark the entry of Swansea City into the Premier League. Tomos Watkin is encouraging drinkers in the city to raise a glass to its football team which was recently promoted to the top flight of British football. Tomos Watkin has created its own Premier Ale to mark the entry of Swansea City into the Premier League. Managing director Phil Parry said the 4.3 per cent brew is a rich full flavoured beer produced using pale ale through wheat and amber malts. The cask ale which carries the tag line ‘Not So Ugly Now’, will be available at venues such as the Borought Arms in Neath and the Pink Geranium in Pontardawe.
